We just picked up a copy of The Knot Ohio Fall Edition. One of the articles highlights the “Must-Have” photos for your Wedding Album. I thought it would be fun to run a little series on our blog showcasing these most important moments that we have captured.

As we enter into prime Family Portrait season, we want to share with you all a story that has touched our hearts. The following story is about a sibling of our kids’ friends and class mates, 15 month old, Parker :
Parker has a rare metabolic condition called Very Long Chain Acyl-CoA Dehydrogenase Deficiency (VLCAD). People who have fatty acid oxidation disorders (like VLCAD) cannot store fats in their body to use as energy. Parker cannot break down the fat that would normally be used for energy, and it becomes toxic. It can build up around his heart and other organs and cause deterioration or organ failure. This also means that he doesn’t have stored reserves to burn if he doesn’t eat. Fasting can cause lethargy, seizures, encephalopathy, coma, or worse.This means that any time he gets a “normal” cold, croup, etc. he is in danger of ending up in the hospital- if he doesn’t eat because he is sick, his body goes into metabolic crisis.
Parker needs studies of his heart and overall condition done in order to figure out how he can be treated and what needs to be done to help him live as long and as healthily as possible. Because his condition is so rare, he cannot have these studies done close to home. He needs to be treated at UCLA- several thousand miles from his home in Ohio.
Parker’s condition could change at any time, very quickly. Even these studies that he needs are fraught with danger, even in the hospital, as he must fast for them. Because of this, both of Parker’s parents need to accompany them, in case decisions must be made or procedures done for which they both need to be with their baby boy.
Their financial resources are minimal, and Parker always has medical expenses, so we want to help as much as possible in giving them what they need without depriving their family of necessities and allowing them to live as normal a life as possible.
We would love to help this family as much as possible, therefore, we will be donating 100% of our session fees to the Hendricks Family. I would encourage you to please share this story with friends, neighbors and relatives. We have availability during the week and on weekends and a variety of locations we can travel to in order to make your family portrait session fun and unique.

There are so many things about Max & Ashley’s Wedding that were so moving. I love the rich culture and tradition that was embedded in every moment of the day. The drums, circling and singing while the bride was escorted from her home and into the church gave me goose bumps and the drums and dancing while money was being thrown at the reception made me want to join in the fun! The groom’s family travelled all the way from Chile to be a part of the festivities (which lasted 4 days) and the bride’s family was so welcoming and warm that we could easily spend a day hanging at their pool and enjoying their delicious foods. (Hint, hint.) Just kidding. . . sort of.
Gosh, I feel like there so much more I could say but words are eluding me. It truly was an Eventful experience that I will not soon forget. We were HONORED to be a part of your day and as a couple, you are thoughtful, kind, playful and sincere. We wish you all the best. Cheers!
Kelli is one of the lovely ladies at The Hair Shoppe and Spa where we send our High School Seniors for professional hair and make-up (and we are clients there as well!) She has been wanting family portraits taken for over 6 years and FINALLY was able to talk her husband into it! I certainly can’t see what he was waiting for – The Marucci Family is beautiful! I love the ease of Anthoni’s smile and the thoughtful expressions of little Madeline.

Saturday, August 20th was a whirlwind wedding with our couple coming in from Washington D.C. and family driving in from all over. St. George’s in Canton was filled with supportive family and friends. The reception hall was rockin’ with a live band playing Romanian music. And we were honored to be a part of it all!

Here is Alicia’s second session! A huge perk to being a Model Rep for us is that you do get to have 2 completely different sessions!!! I am totally in love with our new location!!!
It’s hard to tell by the gaps in our blog posts but we have been really busy! Loving all the Senior sessions we have done! Jessica will be a Senior at Chippewa High School this coming fall. The weather didn’t fully cooperate so we will have a part 2 to her session straight from her hometown with some sweet old barns!!!
