I am so glad Charlie came to see us for her 1 year photo shoot. She is sweet, expressive, engaging and SO SO SO CUTE!!! She will definitely keep big brother Aaron and her parents on their toes. I had a very hard time only selecting a few to share – good luck in narrowing down your selections Laura!! This baby is so full of personality and communicates very well with her expressions and gestures. I can just see little thought bubbles above her head!!!
Time to shake the rust and cobwebs off and get back to blogging!!!
I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off our 2012 posts than with baby Lucas. He has beautiful eyes and lucious thighs and he is here to tackle the world (given his genes, that could be taken literally, this little guy isn’t going to be little for very long!)
We wish Lucas and his family all of the best and are looking forward to watching this wonderful baby grow!!!
Over the weekend we got to catch up with one of our favorite families to photograph – the Ritzman kids. Each session they get cuter and cuter. And it gets easier and easier to capture more of their individual personalities each time. The purpose of this session was to get some great images for their Holiday card (which will be designed by yours truly) and to document little Kyle’s 18 month milestone.

It’s amazing how fast 2 years goes and how many changes take place right before your eyes. When you see your kids every day, you don’t always notice how much they have grown and changed until you look back to what seems like yesterday and realize their features are more defined, the adult teeth are growing in and life is moving way too fast. Today was a PERFECT day to pause and spend some time in the park to update Kaia and Ciara’s portraits. These two girls hold a special place in our hearts as the Mikulas are our friends who have become family.
We love being a part of your lives and watching you grow up with our kids! Enjoy!
Moving on to Part 3 of our “Must Have Photos” Series focuses mostly on a really great black and white photograph; a “first look” should you and your sweetie decide to see one another prior to the ceremony (which is a great way to get some wonderful photos taken before all the major events of the day begin AND calm your nerves by getting to spend some time with your soon to be spouse) if not, we always get that first look as you are coming down the aisle; and signs of the time featuring cell phones and digital cameras!

Part 2 of our “Must Have Photos” series is all about wedding cakes, reception halls and the much anticipated “cutting the cake” moment. I always love going to the hall before any guests have arrived to document exactly what it looks like before the party gets started. There are so many ways to transform any hall : from uplighting to chair covers to your own stash of Halloween items. We are always amazed by the artwork that wedding cakes have become. Anymore the only limitation is your imagination – if you can dream it – it can happen! Hopefully this video will give you some ideas when envisioning what you want your hall or cake to look like!
We wanted to put this sweet little face with the story we shared previously. This is Parker Hendricks and he has been through more in his 15 months than most people have to experience in a lifetime. . . and he isn’t out of the woods yet. Not even close. As he and his family prepare to fly off to UCLA in November for further invasive testing, their community is rallying around them hosting benefits at Chick-Fil-A, a church breakfast and various home parties (31, Scentsy, etc).
